Milky Change goes Prague... a cleaner park and Ukulele tunes

Same idea, different city.
  • On Sunday, March 1st, we met up for another cleanup event with the lovely peeps of Trash Hero. This time, we joined forces with our fans in Prague, cleaning up Letná Park in the city's center.

  • With the help of about 60 volunteers we collected a total of 161 kilos of trash!

85kg mixture, 66kg glass, 5kg plastic and 5kg metal including 115 PET bottles, 122 cans and 120 glass bottles. All that, within a bit over an hour of collecting

  • Walking into the park, it didn’t even look that messy at first, at least in my perception. But once you keep your eyes peeled for the trash that’s all around us, you soon will realize the scale of the problem.

  • Stop littering, please

Cleanup events alone will not solve the issue of environmental pollution.
We need to tackle this problem at its core: changing our own behaviour first and inviting others to do the same.

  • Thank you Trash Heroes

We closed the event with a little musical session featuring "Trash Hero" Jan playing “Stolen Dance” on his Ukulele, what a blast!

A big thank you to Trash Heroes Praha for organising this event with us and for doing their part in making this world a little bit better, one cleanup at a time.
Check out their website and find the group closest to you...or start your own!
